Jonathan Smith, PT, DPT

Smith chose a career in physical therapy because it was a mix of his two loves: science and people. With expertise and special training as a Certified Mulligan Concept Practitioner (CMP), Smith implements this manual therapy technique to address musculoskeletal disorders with pain free manual joint repositioning to restore function and reduce pain. With a heart for helping people, Smith prides himself on the trusting relationship he forms with his patients.

“I’m committed to providing the best possible patient experience, working with each patient and their referring provider to achieve the best results,” said Smith. “I take the time to listen and understand my patient’s goals and desires so we can work together to achieve them.”

Not only does Smith have a heart for his patients, but he also has a passion for giving back to the community. Smith enjoys volunteering in the community, teaching youth Sunday school and coaching various youth sports. “I love working with area youth to help them be the best version of themselves,” said Smith. “I have a desire to help kids find their passion and their niche while promoting health, wellness and sound thinking. Giving back to the community is important to me.”

Smith is a member and Sunday School teacher at a Sunnyside Baptist Church in Kingsport, Tenn. Him and his wife have three children and the most important aspect of his life is striving to be the best father he can. Their family enjoys spending time together playing sports, board games, and enjoying the great outdoors.
