Holston Medical Group is pleased to welcome Cristie Brown, FNP, to its team of highly qualified providers dedicated to supporting patients through all of life’s moments. She will provide patient-centered, cost-effective care at HMG Urgent Care at Bristol, 350 Steeles Rd, Suite 1, Bristol, TN, and HMG Urgent Care Center at Medical Plaza, 105 W. Stone Drive, Suite 1F, Kingsport, TN.
With extensive experience in hospital emergency rooms, Brown thrives in fast-paced settings like HMG Urgent Care. These centers are designed to treat non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries requiring prompt medical attention, such as:
- Bites and burns
- Colds and coughs
- Minor fractures and sprains
- Nausea and vomiting
- Sinus and ear infections
- Urinary tract infections and more
“I love the fast-paced, ever-changing nature of urgent care. Every day brings something different; you never know what cases will come through the door,” states Brown. “It keeps me on my toes and constantly learning.”
“My background in emergency nursing has taught me to help patients quickly and efficiently by assessing their needs, formulating a plan, and providing timely care,” said Brown. “It’s both a challenge and a privilege to help my neighbors continue to improve their health outcomes in these settings.”
Brown earned her Master of Health Science in Family Nurse Practitioner at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN.
Outside of caring for her patients, Brown enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
