About Dr. Blankenship
Dr. Blankenship began his career as a car mechanic in Grundy, Va. He furthered his career and specialized in diesel mechanics where he worked in Kingsport for five years. During the economic recession in 2009, he took a voluntary layoff to obtain his bachelor’s degree.
Now, Dr. Blankenship is back home and looking forward to providing care to the people of Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. "My goal is to provide patients with the most up-to-date care to quickly address their health needs," said Dr. Blankenship.
Dr. Jonathan Blankenship obtained his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at East Tennessee State University (Johnson City, Tenn.), his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (Blacksburg, Va.), and completed his residency in Family Medicine at Carilion Clinic (Roanoke, VA.).
Dr. Blankenship resides in Gray, Tenn. He enjoys building, home renovation projects, and smoking Texas style BBQ. His goal is to open a food truck in Jonesborough, TN.
