About Dr. Berndt

Berndt received her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, NC and her Doctor of Medicine from Georgetown University School of Medicine, Washington, DC. Dr. Berndt attended Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA for her Internal Medicine Residency with a focus on Primary Care.

Berndt will be overseeing Alternative Outreach Services. She is looking forward to having more one on one time with each patient, “I love the idea of high value healthcare. The patients who are the sickest of the sick need more personal time. I want to invest the time in them that is necessary, partnering with primary care, to provide an extra level of support which is required to keep them out of the hospital.”

Dr. Holly Berndt is a native of Mt Carmel and a past graduate of Volunteer High School. She married her husband, Karl Berndt, in 2006 and together they have a daughter named Maddie. Some of Berndt’s favorite hobbies include crafting, singing, church activities, hiking, photography, and spending time with her family. Berndt and her daughter have also recently written a children’s book together called, “Cows on the Udder Side.”
